  1. 1981Mumbai

    Leaves Bikaner for Mumbai

    With a Grade 10 education and hereditary carpentry skills, he moves to Mumbai and begins with small, family-run assignments.

    Context
    Organised interior contracting in India was then limited; large interiors were largely commissioned by big oil companies.
    Significance
    The start of a career that the record measures from this year.

  2. 1983West Asia

    Works overseas

    He takes an opportunity to work in West Asia, on a project reported to be in Oman.

    Context
    Gulf construction drew many skilled Indian workers in the early 1980s.
    Significance
    Exposure to modern construction methods, which one profile credits as formative.

  3. 1985Mumbai

    Returns to Mumbai

    He comes back “with fresh ideas and a stronger foundation”.

    Context
    Returning with international site experience.
    Significance
    Sets up the founding of his own firm the following year.

  4. 1986Navi Mumbai

    Founds Narsi & Associates

    His first formal venture in interior contracting. The first project is the Lubrizol plant in Navi Mumbai.

    Context
    An industrial client, rather than an office, as the first commission.
    Significance
    The firm that becomes Narsi Group.

  5. 1994Banking & finance

    Works for India’s financial institutions

    By this year the firm is working with IDBI, ICICI, the State Bank of India, Standard Chartered Bank and the National Stock Exchange.

    Context
    India’s financial sector was expanding rapidly after the 1991 reforms.
    Significance
    An early institutional client base that anticipates later corporate and government work.

  6. 2018June – September

    Skill India partnership

    Narsi Group is selected by the National Skill Development Corporation under Skill India to develop carpentry skills; 250 young people are trained at a first camp in Sanchar, Bikaner district, in June. A skill exhibition and job fair follows in Bikaner on 28–30 September.

    Context
    Patrika reports a stated goal of engaging 25,000 young carpenters.
    Significance
    The first documented formal skilling programme led by his group.

  7. 2019After February

    Contribution to Bharat Ke Veer

    He contributes ₹21 lakh to the Bharat Ke Veer fund towards the families of soldiers killed in the Pulwama attack of 14 February 2019.

    Context
    Bharat Ke Veer is a government-backed fund supporting families of Central Armed Police Forces personnel.
    Significance
    One of his earliest documented public contributions.

  8. 2020Seelwa

    Healthcare project begins

    A CSR project to improve healthcare services in Seelwa, Nokha block, is launched.

    Context
    Rural primary healthcare in the area was limited.

    The start of what becomes the ₹15 crore PHC.

  9. 2022February · September

    Parliament and the skill council

    In February, Narsi Group’s selection for the loose furniture and interior fit-out of the new Parliament — about 12,000 chairs and tables — is reported. On 20–21 September, at the 7th AGM of the Furniture & Fittings Skill Council in New Delhi, he is elected chairman for a two-year term.

    Context
    Central Vista redevelopment; FFSC’s Mission 2025 to skill 500,000 people.
    Significance
    His company’s most prominent project, and his most prominent industry office, in the same year.

  10. 202328 May

    The new Parliament opens

    The new Parliament building, with interiors fitted out by Narsi Group, is inaugurated. He calls the work the greatest achievement of his life (paraphrased translation).

    Context
    Tata Projects Limited was the main contractor; reports cite between 1,000 and 2,000 workers on the interiors.
    Significance
    National recognition of a Bikaner-born craftsman’s firm.

  11. 202428 July

    Sant Shri Dularam Kularia PHC inaugurated

    Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma inaugurates the ₹15 crore primary healthcare centre in Moolwas, Nokha block, built by Narsi and Jagdish Kularia and handed to the state government.

    Context
    Attended by Union Ministers Arjun Ram Meghwal and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
    Significance
    His largest documented philanthropic project.

  12. 202628 February

    Gathering at Narsi Villa, Silwa

    A large religious assembly, the Virat Hindu Dharm Sabha, is organised at Narsi Villa, the family orchard, with the Governor of Rajasthan expected to attend.

    Context
    Thar Express reports around 25,000 people from some 80 villages were expected.
    Significance
    A continuing public role in his home district.

Gaps in the record. Between 1994 and 2018 the public record of individual projects is thin, although published client lists show the group’s growth in that period. Undated accomplishments — including interiors at Bharat Mandapam and the Vice President Enclave — are covered in Work rather than placed on this timeline with invented dates.
